Task & responsibilities

• Knowledge of retail operations and industry trends
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, till and safe management.
• Manage weekly stock ordering through suppliers, controlling inventory levels, stock rotation (FIFO) and wastage to franchise benchmarks.
• Monitor and manage store financial performance, including daily reconciliation and banking, weekly sales reporting to the franchise owner, and control of food cost and labour cost against budget.
• Prepare weekly staff rosters against forecast sales, ensuring compliance with the applicable award, including pay rates, breaks and record-keeping.
• Ensure full compliance with the Safety program and local council requirements, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules and readiness for compliance evaluations and health inspections.
• Maintain brand presentation standards and execute national promotional campaigns and limited-time offer changeovers on schedule.
• The role also liaises with an independent purchasing company that controls the quality and performance of the suppliers.  
• Be responsible for Weekly stocktake and inventory management, and weekly inventory and sales reporting to the HQ
• Drive store sales through upselling programs, catering orders and management of third-party delivery platforms.
• Handle customer feedback, online reviews and complaints, and coordinate local marketing activity, including community and business catering accounts.
• Ensure workplace health and safety obligations are met for staff and customers at all times.

Qualification & experience

• Lead and manage a team of retail staff
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet targets
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Monitor inventory levels and order new stock as needed
• Train and supervise staff to maintain a high standard of performance
• A Certificate IV, Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, Retail Management or a closely related field.
