Your new role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Worker to join a professional team servicing a range of clients across the Southeast Queensland region. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in presenting outdoor spaces to a high standard, and has experience in garden and landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lawn mowing, edging, whipper snipping, and general turf maintenance
  • Garden bed maintenance, including weeding, mulching, planting, and watering
  • Following daily schedules across multiple locations
  • Hedge trimming, pruning, and shaping of shrubs and plants
  • Safe operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and hand tools
  • Removal of green waste and site clean-up following maintenance activities
  • Application of basic fertiliser and pest control treatments as required
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures at all times
  • Reporting equipment faults, hazards, or site maintenance issues promptly


What you'll need to succeed

  • Current manual driver's licence and access to reliable transport
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or turf management
  • Physically fit with the ability to undertake manual outdoor work across a variety of weather conditions
  • Demonstrated experience operating landscaping equipment, including mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, and other powered garden tools
  • Experience operating Walker Mowers, Cylinder Mowers, or similar commercial mowing equipment will be highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard
  • Reliable and dependable, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with a proactive approach to safe work practices and procedures
