GIS/Spatial Senior Project Officer contract based in Townsville
- Managing spatial data and GIS platforms including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Designing and developing ESRI web applications, dashboards, field maps and visualisation tools.
- Maintaining geospatial data architecture, metadata standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Producing spatial analysis, reporting and visualisations using GIS, Power BI and related technologies.
- Coordinating procurement activities and project delivery associated with spatial information systems.
- Providing specialist technical advice to stakeholders and supporting field-based project activities.
- Contributing to risk management, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Acting as a statewide lead for spatial and data-related initiatives within the business unit.
- Demonstrated experience working across the ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Experience with Web GIS applications, dashboards, spatial databases, Postgres, Spatial SQL and metadata management.
- Knowledge of geospatial data architecture, governance and best practice data management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills.
- A tertiary qualification in Geospatial Science, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline (highly regarded).
- A current open C Class Driver Licence.
- The ability to undertake occasional travel, including remote site visits and overnight stays.
- Attractive hourly rate of $82.93 per hour.
- 12% employer superannuation contribution plus leave loading.
- Contract through to 30 June 2027.
