Annual Salary:    $80,000 - $85,000 plus super

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team who is motivated and passionate on the food and delicacy. We serve modern Australian breakfast menu and cater various bookings in the heart of Fitzroy. This will be a hands on role who can work confidently in fast paced Kitchen, manage multiple tasks at once and take responsibility in Kitchen with minimal supervision.

Task & responsibilities

• Food preparation and monitoring quality of dishes for both a la carte and function service
• Demonstration of cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
• Food service, across all sections in the kitchen, including discussing food preparation issues with the manager, dietician, and kitchen staff
• Maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene, and strictly implementing our OH&S policies 
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
• To follow the workplace policies and procedures as directed. 
• Implement OH&S policies rigorously
• To perform all duties consistent with the Vision, Mission, Values and policies of Bentwood Fitzroy and Statutory requirements.

Qualification & experience

You must hold AQF Certificate IV and AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, and he/she should have at least 1 years’ relevant work experience as a Cook in reputed restaurants/cafes in Australia.
