This role will suit an experienced Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting function and support the business with financial and commercial insights.

Your new role

Reporting closely to the Finance Manager, you will manage the full accounting cycle while supervising a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities;

• Oversee AR, AP, GL and credit management
• Manage month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journals and provisions
• Prepare management reports, budgets, variance analysis and cash-flow forecasts
• Manage BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG and payroll tax requirements
• Oversee payroll processes and staff onboarding/terminations
• Monitor intercompany transactions and landed costs
• Coordinate audit, insurance, workers compensation and asset management requirements
• Identify and implement process and system improvements
• Provide financial analysis and insights to assist the Director with key business decisions
• Lead and support a small transactional finance team

Your experience

• Must possess minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified Accountant
• Must be bi-lingual in Mandarin or Cantonese due to clientele
• Previous experience in FMCG, hospitality, or food manufacturing, or distribution industry highly desirable
• Proven experience supervising or mentoring staff members
• Strong Excel skills
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
