Working within a small, highly capable Security team, you'll play a key role in protecting modern cloud-based environments while partnering closely with engineering and product teams to embed security into the way technology is designed, built and operated.
Your new role
As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for improving security capabilities across cloud platforms, security operations, identity and DevSecOps practices.
This is a hands-on technical role where you'll work across multiple ventures, helping teams strengthen their security posture while balancing speed, innovation and risk.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and enhancing Microsoft security capabilities including Defender, Sentinel and Entra ID
- Designing and implementing cloud security controls across AWS and Azure environments
- Improving threat detection, monitoring and security operations processes
- Supporting incident response, vulnerability management and remediation activities
- Building security automation using Python, PowerShell and cloud-native tooling
- Working with engineering teams to embed security within CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
- Supporting identity and access management initiatives, including Conditional Access and privileged access controls
- Leveraging Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Providing security guidance across multiple product and engineering teams
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience as a Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer or similar
- Strong experience with the Microsoft Security Suite, including:
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Hands-on AWS security experience
- Background in Security Operations, SOC, Incident Response or Detection Engineering
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python and/or PowerShell
- Experience working within DevSecOps environments
- Exposure to cloud security platforms such as Wiz will be highly regarded
- Ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within financial services, fintech or highly regulated environments is advantageous
