Icon Electrical Services (ACT) Pty. Ltd., trading as Icon Electrical, is seeking a qualified and experienced Licenced Electrician to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis at 105 Wollongong Street, Fyshwick, ACT 2609.

This position offers a salary of AUD $98,000 to AUD $105,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, for a minimum of 38 hours per week.

The successful candidate will carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across commercial, residential, and industrial projects in and around the ACT. Task & responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures across commercial, residential, and industrial projects
• Diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting on electrical systems to restore safe and efficient operation
• Plan and carry out wiring layouts for new installations, including power points, lighting circuits, and data cabling, in compliance with Australian electrical standards
• Test electrical systems, circuits, and equipment for safety, continuity, and correct function, and make adjustments where required
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to complete installations and repairs to specification
• Service and repair switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, and related electrical control equipment
• Work collaboratively with other trades and contractors to meet project timelines and maintain site safety standards
• Maintain a consistent commitment to the company’s Zero Harm culture, prioritising safety in every task
• Complete all work in accordance with relevant workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and company procedures

Qualification & experience

• Electrical Trade Qualification at Certificate III level or above 
• Valid Electrician Licence 
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience as a qualified Electrician; 3 years of experience preferred
• Construction White Card
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• Current certifications in Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, First Aid, and CPR/LVR
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability across a range of electrical systems
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks including a police background check and pre-employment medical
