SECURITODAY PTY LTD trading as WHITEMAN PARK VILLAGE CAFE a well-known restaurant and is currently looking to hire a full-time Chef. Task & responsibilities

• Organize the kitchen daily, ensuring all essential cooking utensils and equipment are in place for smooth operations.
• Promptly execute dish preparation, overseeing final presentation and delivery topatrons to maintain high service standards.
• Regularly monitor food stock levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation tominimize waste and ensure freshness.
• Lead in developing new and seasonal recipes for dishes and beverages, estimatingcosts to support menu development.
• Maintain vigilance in checking food items for freshness, promptly removing anyexpired items to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are impeccable, including rigorous food handling practices and equipment maintenance.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed to uphold performance and professionalism.
• Manage email inquiries, conduct research for sourcing new suppliers, and maintainaccurate records of stock takes and incident reports.
• Monitor the kitchen's condition, promptly reporting maintenance needs to the owner and overseeing repairs as required.
• Develop seasonal menus and handle ingredient sourcing.
• Conduct stock takes and manage ordering processes.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment with diverse operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanour when interacting with colleagues andcustomers.
• Versatile and hardworking individual with a practical, hands-on approach, dedicated to achieving optimal results.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient knowledge of workplace policies and procedures.

Whiteman Park Village Café is a family and dog-friendly café located in the heart of Whiteman Park, Swan Valley. The café offers all-day breakfast, brunch, lunch, fresh salads, burgers, cakes, coffee, drinks and catering services, with a focus on quality homemade food, fresh local produce and friendly customer service.
