Programmed is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join a leading building products manufacturer based in Wollert, VIC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for ongoing casual work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What's on offer

  • Casual ongoing employment

  • 38-hour ordinary working week

  • Afternoon/night shift: 5:00 PM - 4:00 AM

  • Competitive hourly rates under the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020

  • Primarily forklift-based duties, with some manual handling

  • Opportunity to work with a well-established manufacturer

About your new role

  • Operating a forklift for approximately 85% of the shift, primarily moving packs of bricks between designated areas

  • Working across different areas of the kiln and manufacturing facility

  • Assisting with general manual duties for approximately 15% of the shift

  • Topping up boards and wrapping packs of bricks as required

  • Setting up and operating machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures, where required

  • Inspecting products and ensuring quality standards are maintained

  • Following workplace health, safety and environmental procedures

  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

  • Communicating effectively with team members to ensure the safe and efficient movement of products

  • Completing production records and other documentation as required

About you

  • Current LF Forklift Licence is essential

  • Previous forklift operating experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling duties when required

  • Ability to safely move and handle packs of bricks

  • Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace health and safety

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise and heat

  • Willing to work the advertised shift and overtime as required

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Able to complete pre-employment medical requirements if requested
