About Us

Star Party Hire is a party and event hire specialist providing a wide range of equipment including chairs, tables, marquees, staging, lighting, sound equipment, LED screens and party accessories.

We provide equipment hire, delivery and installation services across Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide.

We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Hire Manager to manage and control the day-to-day operations of our equipment hire business at our Riverstone location.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and control the day-to-day operations of the equipment hire business.

Organise, supervise and coordinate the work of warehouse, delivery, installation and other operational staff.

Manage the stock, quality, condition and maintenance of equipment available for hire.

Ensure hire equipment is properly inspected, maintained, stored and available for customer bookings.

Coordinate equipment bookings, allocation, delivery, installation, collection and return.

Monitor equipment availability and stock levels to ensure sufficient equipment is available to meet customer demand.

Source and purchase equipment, replacement parts and other required items from suppliers and vendors.

Liaise and negotiate with suppliers regarding equipment purchases, pricing, availability and supply arrangements.

Negotiate equipment hire arrangements and agreements with customers.

Liaise with customers to identify their equipment requirements and provide appropriate hire solutions.

Analyse customer demand and market information to assist with decisions regarding equipment purchases, pricing and service offerings.

Assist in determining purchasing, advertising, sales and promotional strategies for the equipment hire business.

Coordinate delivery and installation schedules for customer bookings and events.

Ensure equipment hire activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements, relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

Monitor the performance of staff and assist with staff selection, training and development.

Resolve operational, equipment and customer service issues as they arise.

Maintain accurate records relating to equipment hire, stock, maintenance, bookings and operational activities.

Develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and profitability of equipment hire operations.

Report to senior management regarding business performance, equipment requirements and operational matters.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant must have:

A Diploma-level qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience in equipment hire, event hire, operations management or a closely related field.

Experience managing equipment hire operations, stock, logistics and staff.

Knowledge of equipment maintenance and workplace safety requirements.

Strong organisational and operational management skills.

Good communication, negotiation and customer service skills.

Ability to supervise staff and coordinate multiple equipment bookings, deliveries and installations.

About the Role

The Equipment Hire Manager will be responsible for managing the operational activities of Star Party Hire, including equipment stock and maintenance, customer hire arrangements, purchasing, staff supervision, logistics and the overall efficient operation of the equipment hire business.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation
