Hays are currently seeking experienced Plant Operators with proven experience operating Excavators and Loaders to join a busy waste and resource recovery facility located in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established organisation, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating excavators and loaders in a busy landfill and resource recovery environment
- Material handling and stockpile management
- Loading trucks and mobile plant interaction
- Earthmoving and compaction support
- Conducting daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance
- Maintaining a safe and efficient worksite
- Working closely with site personnel to achieve operational targets
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience operating Excavators and Loaders
- Relevant plant operating tickets/licences
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Availability to commence immediately
