Description Our Client KHALSA SWEETS PTY LTD T/A KHALSA SWEETS & RESTAURANT is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team located in Cranbourne West VIC 3977. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of Indian sweets, snacks, and meals while maintaining food quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene standards. Tasks required include: Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Indian sweets, snacks, and vegetarian dishes while ensuring consistency in taste, quality and presentation. Season, marinate, and cook food items in line with established recipes to maintain high standards of flavour, texture, and appearance. Monitor and control cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers to ensure proper temperatures and efficient food preparation. Support the Chef in preparing popular and high-demand menu items, including traditional sweets, street food, and Punjabi-style curries. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards, including effective stock rotation practices. Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations at all times in the kitchen. Assist with plating, portioning, and timely preparation of dishes during busy service periods while maintaining presentation standards. Qualification and Experience At least Cert III in Commercial Cookery. Minimum one year of relevant experience is required. Benefits Competitive salary of $80000 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
