Go Sushi X Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified Cook to join our busy Japanese restaurant based in Darwin NT. Employer: Go Sushi X Pty Ltd Position: Cook Location: Darwin NT 0800 Job type: Full-time Salary: $67,510 – $79,500 per year + superannuation Duties and responsibilities: • A preferred understanding of Japanese food, but this can be taught to the right candidate • Carefully follow standard recipes while preparing assigned items for food service • Cook all dishes as specified on the menu, including seasoning and portion control • Plate and garnish food items before table service • Following service, replenish the section by prepping for the next service • Support senior kitchen staff (Sous or Head Chef) with ordering from suppliers, accepting and checking deliveries, checking prep and training new staff • Follow safe and sanitary food handling practices according to local health and state laws • Maintain a clean, positive and professional environment with co-workers and customers Skills and experience required: • Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience as a Cook • Ability to work weekdays and Saturdays, including shift work • Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply How to apply: Please email your resume and qualifications to gosushix@gmail.com
