• Strong SQL coding skills essential

Data Migration Lead required to support a large migration from Oracle to Cosmos DB for a leading financial services business

Responsibilities:

• Assess and uplift current Oracle to Cosmos DB data migration processes
• Lead data analysis and reconciliation testing 
• Manage and resolve migration issues 
• Work closely with delivery leads, data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders, providing technical advice

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading data migration projects
• Experience with Oracle and/or relational database migrations.
• Strong data analysis experience.
• Ability to investigate data discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Experience working with technical teams to resolve migration issues.
• Strong understanding of data migration testing, validation and sign-off.
• Experience migrating to Cosmos DB or another NoSQL platform would be beneficial
• Experience with Azure / Microsoft data technologies.
• Experience working with migration scripts, SQL and data analysis tools.
