Located in Frankston VIC 3199, Roccella Frankston is currently seeking a Chef to become part of their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes in accordance with Roccella Frankston’s recipes, quality standards and presentation requirements.
  • Assisting with menu planning and contributing to the development of seasonal dishes, specials and menu updates.
  • Monitoring the quality of ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistency in flavour, presentation and portion size.
  • Managing food preparation and cooking activities to support efficient service and minimise food waste.
  • Ensuring food is stored, handled and prepared in accordance with food safety, hygiene and temperature-control requirements.
  • Monitoring kitchen stock levels, assisting with ordering ingredients and supplies, and checking incoming deliveries for quality and freshness.
  • Coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, equipment and storage facilities.
  • Assisting in guiding and supervising junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking procedures and kitchen standards.
  • Following workplace health and safety requirements and ensuring safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

About you:

  • At least one year of relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and present dishes consistently to required quality, portion and presentation standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks during busy service periods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with chefs and other kitchen staff.
  • Ability to monitor food quality, stock levels and ingredient freshness while minimising waste.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
