Branch Manager

About the Role

An established and well-respected electrical wholesaler is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead their Geelong operation.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who understands the electrical wholesale industry, enjoys developing a team and knows how to drive both sales and operational performance.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the branch while maintaining strong relationships with local contractors and customers and continuing to grow the business across the Geelong market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the branch
• Lead, support and develop the branch team
• Drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing trade customers
• Develop new customer relationships across the local market
• Manage branch budgets, targets and overall profitability
• Oversee stock levels, purchasing and inventory management
• Ensure a high standard of customer service across the branch
• Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Monitor branch KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance
• Create a positive, supportive and high-performing team environment

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience within electrical wholesale or electrical distribution
• Previous Branch Management, Assistant Branch Management or senior sales experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and the trade customer market
• Proven sales and business development ability
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercial understanding and the ability to manage branch performance
• Excellent customer relationship-building skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to leadership
• The ability to motivate a team and lead by example
