An opportunity has arisen for a talented Financial Accountant to join the finance team in a broad role offering exposure to financial reporting, compliance, business partnering and process improvement within a large, complex environment.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, statutory reporting requirements and ensuring the integrity of the organisation's financial information. You will work closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, providing insights and support across a range of accounting activities.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Ownership of month-end reporting, reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assisting with statutory accounts, audit requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls.
  • Assisting with tax, GST and compliance obligations.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders across finance and operational teams.
  • Contributing to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Supporting external and internal audit activities.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong accounting professional with experience gained within a large corporate environment.
You will ideally bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
  • 3-7 years' experience in financial accounting, audit or reporting roles.
  • Experience within a large corporate, healthcare, pharmaceutical or regulated industry environment is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills.
  • Previous exposure to ERP systems and large-scale finance environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
