Project Director

We are partnering with a well-established Melbourne fit out and refurbishment contractor turning over approximately $60m annually to recruit an experienced Project Director.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing multiple projects, supporting Project Managers and Site Managers, and playing a key role in the continued growth and performance of the business.

The Role

• Provide leadership and oversight across multiple fit out and refurbishment projects
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Site Managers and commercial teams
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Monitor project performance across programme, commercial outcomes, quality and safety
• Assist with procurement, resourcing, risk management and project strategy
• Work closely with senior management on business planning and operational improvement
• Support pre-construction and tender teams on major opportunities
• Ensure projects are delivered consistently in line with client expectations and company standards

About You

• Proven experience in a senior project leadership role within commercial construction
• Strong background in fit out, refurbishment or live-environment projects
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously
• Strong commercial, contractual and programme management capability
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to mentor and develop high-performing project teams
• Strong understanding of the Melbourne commercial construction market
