Defects Foreman

We are seeking an experinced Defects Foreman to join a well-established residential construction team delivering high-quality Class 2 residential projects across Sydney.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Foreman who has a strong eye for detail, understands residential construction and is confident managing defects through to completion.

The Role You will be responsible for managing the defects and remedial process across a Class 2 residential project, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team to ensure all defects are identified, rectified and closed out efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing defects and rectification works across Class 2 residential projects
• Conducting detailed inspections and identifying construction defects
• Coordinating and supervising subcontractors through the rectification process
• Managing defect lists, priorities and close-out timeframes
• Ensuring works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with project requirements
• Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and trades
• Assisting with final inspections, handovers and project close-out
• Ensuring a high level of finish and presentation across the project

About You We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience as a Foreman within Class 2 residential construction
• Strong defects and finishing experience
• Excellent knowledge of residential construction processes and standards
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong subcontractor and trade management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously
• Relevant construction qualifications/licences
