Our client is seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to join their team and provide high-quality bookkeeping and accounting support across a portfolio of clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident managing day-to-day accounts while maintaining accurate financial records. The position offers a salary of $70,000–$80,000 + superannuation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
  • Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Completing bank, credit card, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Preparing BAS and IAS documentation and assisting with GST compliance
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and account preparation
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Liaising with clients and assisting accountants and managers
  • Identifying discrepancies and investigating accounting issues
  • Ensuring client work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

What you’ll need:

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reconciliations
  • Sound knowledge of BAS, GST and Australian compliance requirements
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident communication and a professional approach to client service
  • Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are advantageous
