Full Job Description

Rudd Industrial Midvale supplies fasteners to construction, engineering and industrial customers. Backed by Synergy Construction & Industrial Supply Group and Metal Manufactures Pty Ltd, we have the resources of a national network and the feel of a local branch.

This is a new role with a strong focus on winning business. You’ll spend most of your week visiting customers across the Perth region, while also looking after a manageable group of existing accounts. The conversations can get technical, so you’ll need to understand what customers are working on and find the right solution for them.

What You’ll Do

• Find and approach new customers by phone and face-to-face
• Build relationships with engineers, purchasing officers and fabrication businesses
• Manage and grow existing accounts
• Work with the team on quotes, orders and customer follow-up. It’s a small team where everyone pitches in

 
About You

• Experience in external sales, ideally in fasteners, industrial supplies, engineering or a related trade. Alternatively, industry experience in internal sales and the drive to move out on the road could also suit
• Confident picking up the phone, walking into new businesses and starting conversations
• Persistent with follow-up and motivated by turning a new contact into a customer
• Comfortable discussing technical products and finding the right solution
• Current driver’s licence and full Australian working rights
