Trades Assistants - $45 p/hr – Demolition & Decommissioning Project New

Location: Granville, NSW
Project: Major Commercial Site Demolition - Minimum 4 week project
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Trades Assistants to join our team on a major demolition and decommissioning project in Granville.
You will work alongside experienced Mechanical Fitters and the wider project team, assisting with the dismantling, removal and demolition of existing plant, equipment and infrastructure. You will require both a Construction White card and LF Forklift license for this role.

For You:

• Monday to Friday roles paying $45 p/hr + Super
• Working hours of 7am to 3:30pm daily
• Minimum 4 - week project

An established engineering and manufacturing business based in Sydney’s south-west. The business delivers practical engineering, fabrication and manufacturing solutions across industrial and commercial applications. With a hands-on workshop environment and an experienced team, it undertakes a range of projects requiring quality workmanship, technical capability and attention to detail. The company offers a stable working environment for skilled tradespeople and those looking to build their experience within a professional engineering operation.
About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Mechanical Fitters with dismantling and removal of equipment
• General demolition and decommissioning support
• Using hand and power tools under direction
• Moving, sorting and removing materials and equipment
• Assisting with the removal of conveyors, machinery and mechanical components
• General site labouring and clean-up
• Loading and unloading materials VIA Forklift
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Following all site safety procedures and instructions
• Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines

About You
To be successful, you will have:

• Must have Construction White Card
• Must have a valid LF Forklift License
• Previous Trades Assistant, Labourer, Construction or Demolition experience highly regarded
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual work
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Ability to work effectively alongside tradespeople
• Construction or industrial site experience highly regarded
• Relevant tickets such as EWP,or working at heights highly regarded
