Our client is a premium supplier of architectural hardware, servicing the design and building community with a range spanning door and window hardware, locks and ironmongery. Based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and expanding their Australian operations, they're looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join their Sydney team, managing supply and subcontract agreements while working closely with architects, designers, builders and trade clients on the commercial side of every project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, administer and manage supply and subcontract agreements from award through to completion.
  • Review contract terms, scope and pricing, and identify and manage variations, extensions and claims.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, progress claims, invoices and payment schedules.
  • Track project budgets, costs and margins, and report on contract performance.
  • Maintain contract registers, records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with suppliers, architects, designers, builders and trade clients to resolve contractual and delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with the wider sales and operations team on stock availability, orders and delivery timeframes.
  • Monitor deadlines, deliverables and contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Assist with tender preparation, quotations and the negotiation of contract terms.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration, ideally within building products, construction, hardware or a related industry.
  • Sound understanding of contract terms, variations, progress claims and procurement processes.
  • Strong numeracy and commercial acumen, with the ability to track budgets, costs and margins.
  • Excellent attention to detail in preparing and reviewing contract documentation.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and competing deadlines.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with suppliers, contractors, architects, designers and trade clients.
  • A relevant qualification in construction, business, quantity surveying or a related field is well regarded, as is a genuine interest in design, architecture or building products.
