Support the day-to-day delivery of the EEAI program by helping children and young people attend and engage with school. Duties include:
Assisting with daily student pickups and safe transport to and from school.
Encouraging students to attend and engage with school.
Building respectful relationships with students, families, school staff and community members.
Following up attendance concerns and reporting any welfare, behavioural or safety concerns to the EEAI Supervisor.
Keeping accurate attendance, pickup and activity records.
Completing basic vehicle checks and keeping program vehicles safe and ready to use.
Following child safety, confidentiality, WHS and BHAC procedures.
Requirements
Experience working with children, young people, families or community programs.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Current driver licence and ability to safely transport students.
Current Ochre Card and National Police Certificate, or ability to obtain them.
Ability to follow instructions, schedules and procedures and keep accurate records.
Understanding of child safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
First Aid qualification is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
This position does not come with housing.
