Global Vision Recruitment on behalf of Mahinita Pty Ltd T/A Overlander Indian Restaurant Date Posted: September 03, 2026 Position: Waiter Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation Hours: 38 hours per week Mode: Full-time Location: 243-245 Lords Pl, Orange NSW 2800 Experience required: Minimum 1 year experience as waiter or in any related hospitality experience Overlander Indian Restaurant is seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Waiter to join our team in Orange. The successful candidate will assist with providing attentive table service and ensuring customers enjoy a welcoming and efficient dining experience. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and arrange tables before service, including menus, cutlery, crockery and glassware. • Greet customers warmly, provide menus and explain available food and beverage options. • Take customer orders accurately and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff. • Serve Indian cuisine, beverages and other menu items promptly and professionally. • Assist customers with menu enquiries, dietary requirements and food or beverage selections. • Recommend suitable dishes and beverages based on customer preferences where appropriate. • Monitor tables throughout service and respond promptly to customer requests. • Clear used plates, glasses and cutlery and maintain clean and organised dining areas. • Reset tables efficiently for incoming customers. • Process customer payments accurately using POS systems, EFTPOS and cash registers. • Coordinate with kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely service. • Maintain high standards of customer service, presentation, cleanliness and workplace hygiene. Qualification • Certificate III in Hospitality (Preferred but not required) Skills & Experience • Minimum 1 year experience as waiter or in any related hospitality experience. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Professional, friendly and well-presented manner. • Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment. • Good attention to detail and ability to accurately take customer orders. • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a hospitality team. • Knowledge of Indian cuisine and beverages is advantageous.
