Our client, R Vashist & V Vishawjeet, is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Horticulturist to join their horticulture farming operations in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to crop production, irrigation management, pest control, and overall farm productivity.

Production Horticulturist
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate and supervise horticultural crop production activities.
• Monitor crop growth, plant health and production outcomes.
• Identify and report plant diseases, pests and nutrient deficiencies.
• Prepare and implement planting, cultivation, irrigation and harvesting programs.
• Operate and oversee irrigation systems to ensure optimal crop performance.
• Coordinate the application of fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides and other treatments in accordance with industry standards.
• Monitor soil conditions and recommend improvements to maximise crop yields.
• Maintain records relating to crop production, treatments and farm operations.
• Ensure machinery, equipment and farm infrastructure are maintained and operated safely.
• Liaise with farm management and relevant specialists to improve production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and Experience
• AQF Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualification in Horticulture, Production Horticulture, Agriculture, Agronomy or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant post-qualification experience in horticultural crop production, irrigation management, pest and disease management, or a similar role.
• In lieu of formal qualifications, at least three years of relevant full-time industry experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of horticultural production techniques, crop management, irrigation systems and pest and disease control.
Working Conditions
• Full-time position
• 38 hours per week.
Salary
$75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
