The Financial Capability Worker supports community members with everyday money matters. The role is about sitting down with people, explaining things simply and helping them build confidence managing their own money. What You’ll Do Help people understand their income and expenses. Help with simple budgets and planning for bills. Explain bills, bank statements and payslips. Help people understand Centrelink payments and how working may affect their payments. Explain wages, tax and superannuation in simple terms. Help with banking, regular payments and managing bills. Talk with people about saving and planning for larger expenses. Help people understand debts, fines and money they owe. Support people to contact banks, Centrelink and other services. Refer people to a Financial Counsellor when they need more specialised help. Keep simple records of the support provided. About You We are looking for someone who is: Friendly, patient and easy to talk to. Good at explaining things in plain language. Respectful and non-judgemental. Organised and able to keep information confidential. Happy to work one-on-one with community members and help them work through problems. This position does not come with housing.
