Welder - First Class Unique Creations Pty Ltd is looking for full-time permanent Fabrication/Welder - First Class to join their team on a full-time basis at least 38 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities: • Complete welding and fabrication work for the company’s balustrades, handrails, gates, stair components, frames and other custom metal products. • Prepare materials and components for each job by measuring, marking, cutting, positioning and arranging parts according to the project requirements. • Work with stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel and other materials used in the company’s fabrication projects, selecting suitable methods and equipment for each job. • Assemble and weld metal components to achieve the required shape, dimensions, alignment and overall appearance of the finished product. • Review job drawings, measurements and project information and use these details to prepare and complete fabrication work for individual customer projects. • Carry out grinding, cleaning, drilling, finishing and other follow-up work to ensure fabricated items are properly prepared before they leave the workshop or proceed to installation. • Check completed work for general quality, fit, appearance and consistency, making adjustments or carrying out additional work where required. • Work closely with other workshop and installation staff, while maintaining tools, equipment and work areas and following the company’s safety and operational requirements. Skills and Requirements: • Relevant qualification or at least 4 years in lieu of the qualification. • At least 2 year of experience. • Strong practical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce neat, accurate and consistent fabrication work. • Ability to understand and work from workshop drawings, measurements, job specifications and project requirements when preparing and fabricating metal components. • Practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues during fabrication and make appropriate adjustments to achieve the required fit, finish and overall quality. • Experience working with materials commonly used in the business, including stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, and familiarity with relevant welding and fabrication equipment.
