FULL TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM 4 WEEKS ANNUAL LEAVE SALARY PLUS SUPER $84K PA - $95K PA High Risk Solutions Pty Ltd is looking for a full time Sheetmetal Worker and Metal Fabricator for their thriving business. High Risk Solutions (HRS) is a Central Queensland-based industrial services company specialising in scaffolding and access solutions, industrial insulation and lagging, and sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting. Operating across Gladstone, Rockhampton, Emerald and surrounding regions, HRS supports major shutdowns, maintenance programs and construction projects with additional capabilities including rigging, equipment hire, skilled labour supply and specialised access solutions. The company places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement, delivering integrated solutions from project planning and design through to fabrication, installation and completion. To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 3 years' experience in a similar position. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: To be considered as a Sheetmetal Worker you need the following skills and experience: -Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements -Selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium and copper, and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications -Marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments -Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, computerised laser and plasma cutters, guillotines and drills -Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers -Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and otherwise joining -Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding and cleaning assembled products -May repair damaged sheetmetal products and components -May specialise in fabrication, or on-site assembly and installation, of sheetmetal products -May produce aircraft sheetmetal components requiring advanced drawing and calculating skills -May specialise in decorative copperwork To be considered as a Metal Fabricator you will need the following skills and experience: -Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements -Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock -Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines -Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering -Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments -Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting -Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision -Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions -Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding YOU MUST BE. -Flexible -Positive with a can-do attitude -Willing to join our team and be part of something great!
