Hays Construction has partnered with a well-established and highly regarded builder delivering landmark residential developments across South East Queensland. Due to continued project growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on a flagship $130M, 30-storey high-rise residential development on the Gold Coast.

Your New Role

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of this landmark high-rise project from construction through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project engineering functions, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring programme milestones are achieved, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage day-to-day construction activities across the project.
Monitor project progress, programme outcomes, and construction milestones.
Assist with subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and trade coordination.
Prepare and manage RFIs and technical documentation.
Ensure works are completed in accordance with design specifications and contractual requirements.
Support cost control, forecasting, and project reporting functions.
Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project stakeholders.
Drive quality assurance and defect management processes.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site.
Assist the Project Manager in achieving key project delivery objectives.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Project Engineer within commercial or residential construction.
High-rise residential project experience is essential.
Strong understanding of structural, services, and finishes delivery.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
