About the Role
Due to continued growth, Programmed is seeking experienced Site Supervisors to join our team and oversee the day-to-day activities of our Fabrication and Mechanical Services operations across client sites.
Reporting to the Site Manager, this is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the effective coordination, supervision and allocation of work across our skilled trades teams and apprentices.
You will play a key role in ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, while maintaining strong relationships with our clients and supporting the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate fabrication and mechanical teams across client sites, ensuring efficient workflow and delivery against project schedules.
Allocate daily work and provide clear direction to trades personnel and apprentices.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company, client and legislative WHS requirements.
Monitor work quality and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.
Provide leadership, mentoring and support to tradespeople, apprentices and developing team members.
Liaise closely with the Customer and Site Manager to understand project requirements, priorities, resources and client expectations.
Monitor project progress and maintain accurate records relating to labour, materials, productivity and safety.
Assist with project planning, quoting and the preparation of estimates as required.
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of site operations.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an experienced trade professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to coordinate teams in a busy site environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current Australian-recognised trade qualification or equivalent certification.
5+ years' hands-on experience in fabrication and/or mechanical trades.
Demonstrated experience supervising, leading or mentoring trades personnel.
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, safety standards and industry requirements.
The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, trades teams and management.
Sound problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
A strong commitment to safety, quality and delivering high standards of workmanship.
The ability to work effectively across multiple client sites and travel as required.
Desirable: Post-trade qualifications and/or additional relevant industry qualifications.
