Join a large enterprise organisation undergoing a significant infrastructure transformation. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing delivery, stability and optimisation of critical hosting and infrastructure platforms supporting a complex 24x7 environment.


Your new role



As the Technical Infrastructure Lead, you will act as the technical escalation point across enterprise hosting services, providing leadership and guidance to internal teams and managed service providers. The role will focus on operational excellence, service delivery, incident and problem management, platform optimisation and security remediation across a large-scale infrastructure estate.

You'll work closely with infrastructure, security and vendor teams to ensure services remain secure, reliable and aligned to business requirements.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating major P1 and P2 incidents
  • Driving problem management and root cause analysis activities
  • Providing technical guidance to onshore and offshore support teams
  • Managing relationships with managed service providers and vendors
  • Supporting platform optimisation, lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing patching, vulnerability remediation and security uplift activities
  • Contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Monitoring service performance, operational risk and SLA outcomes
  • Supporting infrastructure roadmap activities and technology transformation initiatives
  • Working closely with infrastructure, architecture, security and project delivery teams


What you'll need to succeed



  • Strong experience in Infrastructure Operations, Service Delivery or Infrastructure Leadership roles
  • Experience working within large enterprise hosting environments
  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Active Directory administration and support experience
  • Exposure to enterprise backup and storage platforms
  • Experience leading Incident, Problem and Change Management activities
  • Vendor and managed service provider management experience
  • Exposure to Azure cloud environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • ITIL experience highly regarded
