An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established and growing construction organisation. Working within a high-performing finance team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable function while supporting the delivery of key projects across the business.

Your new role

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with suppliers, project teams, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable functions
  • Matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation
  • Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Responding to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records and account information
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
  • Supporting project managers and operations teams with financial administration requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls
What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous accounts payable experience, ideally within construction, engineering, property, or a project-based environment
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and team-focused approach
