Launch your career with a 12-month Business Administration Traineeship, employed by Skillinvest and hosted by the CFA. Gain hands-on experience in a professional, community-focused environment while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business through on-the-job learning and online training. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy workplace, enjoys variety in their day, and can confidently adapt to changing priorities. You'll be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team where flexibility, resilience, initiative, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. Successful trainees need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to learning.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Welcome visitors and provide excellent customer service at the front desk.
- Answer phones and assist community members with their enquiries.
- Engage professionally with members of the public and CFA stakeholders.
- Support team members with daily administrative operations and projects.
- Learn a range of office skills, including filing, data entry and record keeping.
IS THIS YOU?
- Good communication skills
- Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy
- Motivated and reliable
- Customer service mindset
- Driver's license (desirable or close to obtaining)
- Willingness to work and study to obtain Cert 3 in Business
ABOUT YOUR HOST
CFA Horsham is part of Victoria's largest volunteer-based emergency service organisation, providing essential support to communities across the Wimmera region. The Horsham office works closely with brigades, volunteers and community members to promote fire safety, emergency preparedness and community resilience.
