Software Engineer

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our clients' business Envision Consulting Partners Pty Ltd in Melbourne. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team, with strong communication skills. Position Purpose: The primary purpose of the Software Engineer role is to design, develop, and optimise software solutions that enhance business performance, improve efficiency, and support profitability. This is a core role within the organisation, working closely with clients and the management team to deliver customised systems that meet business needs and achieve desired outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse and identify business and system requirements by investigating problem areas and incorporating user feedback. - Design, develop, implement, and maintain new software programs, systems, and applications. - Modify and enhance existing software to improve functionality, performance, and reliability. - Develop, test, debug, and refine code prior to deployment and collaboration with project stakeholders. - Integrate new software solutions with existing systems, ensuring compatibility and smooth operation. - Communicate technical information through code, diagrams, flowcharts, layouts, and technical documentation. - Evaluate existing company software and systems and install or recommend necessary upgrades and new applications. - Monitor operational systems on an ongoing basis and troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent technical issues. - Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders on software development projects. - Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends through research, training, and professional development. Essential Qualifications and Experience: - Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. - Minimum of one (1) year of full-time work experience as a Software Engineer (preferred). Skills and Competencies: - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. - Demonstrated aptitude for continuous improvement and learning new technologies. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organisational skills. - Ability to develop, support, and assist others where required. - Fast learner with a proactive approach to professional growth and skill development.
