MEGT, in partnership with Veolia, is offering an exciting opportunity through the Veolia Future Forward Program to explore a career pathway in Driving Operations and work towards a Certificate III in Driving Operations.

This is a great opportunity to gain practical workplace experience, develop your skills and learn alongside experienced Veolia professionals.

About the Opportunity

Through the Future Forward Program, participants interested in Driving Operations will gain exposure to:

Heavy vehicle operations

Safe driving practices

Vehicle inspections

Basic vehicle maintenance

Transport and logistics

Workplace health and safety

Operational procedures

Participants will spend three weeks undertaking practical workplace learning in their chosen career area alongside experienced Veolia professionals.

About the Future Forward Program

The Veolia Future Forward Program is a five-week pre-employment program commencing Monday 9 November 2026.

The program combines vocational training, hands-on learning, cultural connection, mentoring and workplace experience.

During the program, you can expect opportunities to participate in:

Connection to Country and cultural activities

Mentor Yarning Circles

Team-building and cohort connection

Visits to Veolia's waste, water and energy operations

"A Day in the Life" experiences across Veolia roles

Essential Readiness sessions

Connections with First Nations mentors

Practical workplace learning alongside experienced Veolia professionals

Following the initial program activities, participants will undertake three weeks of hands-on workplace learning in their chosen career pathway.

About You

We're looking for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are:

Motivated, reliable and eager to learn

Interested in a long-term career with Veolia

Interested in hands-on work and driving operations

Open to new experiences and challenges

Comfortable working as part of a team

Safety-conscious and willing to develop new skills

Keen to gain practical workplace experience

You don't need to have previous experience in the waste, water, energy or transport industries. What we're looking for is someone who is motivated to learn and interested in exploring a career in Driving Operations.

Qualification

Certificate III in Driving Operations

This pathway provides an opportunity to develop practical skills and experience relevant to driving operations while learning within a Veolia workplace environment.
