Our client, The Trustee for Mountjoy Allforks Trust T/A WEIPA TAXI SERVICES, is seeking reliable and customer-focused Taxi Drivers to provide safe and efficient passenger transport services. Due to high demand, the employer urgently requires two drivers to support continuous 24/7 operations and maintain service reliability. The role involves transporting passengers safely, responding to bookings through dispatch, apps, taxi ranks and street hails, and delivering consistent customer service. Drivers will work closely with dispatch and operations staff to ensure timely and compliant service delivery. Key duties include operating the taximeter and payment systems accurately, maintaining a clean and roadworthy vehicle, keeping trip and fare records, complying with road rules and transport legislation, and managing passenger enquiries and incidents professionally. Job Responsibility: Provide safe, courteous passenger transport, operating the taximeter and payments accurately, complying with road rules and licence conditions, and keeping the vehicle roadworthy. Duties: • Use mobile computer systems, radio networks and dispatch platforms to receive and respond to passenger bookings and waiting passenger information. • Pick up passengers from designated locations or when hailed, confirm their destinations and determine the most appropriate routes using GPS and navigation systems. • Transport passengers safely and efficiently to their requested destinations while providing professional and courteous customer service. • Assist passengers with luggage, mobility requirements and other reasonable assistance as required. • Operate the taximeter, calculate applicable fares, collect fares and process cash, card and electronic payments in accordance with applicable fare requirements. • Collect and deliver parcels when required, ensuring they are transported safely to the designated destinations. • Maintain accurate records of passenger trips, bookings, fares, shift activities and other operational information as required. • Conduct routine vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle remains clean, safe, properly maintained and roadworthy. • Comply with applicable road rules, passenger transport regulations, licensing requirements, workplace health and safety procedures and driver-hour obligations. Qualification: • AQF Certificate II or higher • 1-2 years of experience in related field Salary: • $70,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation Working Condition: • Full Time / 38 hours per week
