General Manager

About the Company
Our client is a privately owned Australian manufacturer operating in a highly regulated environment. With a diverse product and service offering, the business is entering an exciting commercial growth phase, supported by significant investment and expanding opportunities in international markets.

About the Role
This is a rare chance to step into a newly created General Manager position at a pivotal point in the business's growth. 
You will take full operational leadership of the business, including production, supply, quality, R&D and finance, through a phased handover over the first 12 months. 
You will lead a major capital program, including new processing rooms, packing lines, a new warehouse, automation and a new ERP. You will represent the business with global partners and customers. 

Duties

• Lead the site and the senior leadership team day to day
• Develop and drive a 3-5 year strategy and operating plan
• Align production, supply, quality, R&D and finance functions
• Deliver capital projects, new equipment and ERP implementation
• Support the development of international growth, including Asia

Skills and Experience

• Senior GM or operations leadership in regulated manufacturing
• Strong grounding in GMP and therapeutic or high-end food settings
• Track record of leading and aligning multi-function teams
• Experience delivering capital projects, automation or ERP change
• Commercial acumen and comfort working with boards and investors
• Exposure to international markets is highly regarded
• MBA or relevant tertiary qualification preferred
• High EQ, curious and a strong listener who builds trust
