Westvic Staffing Solutions, in partnership with Knuckey Pty Ltd, Winchelsea, have an opportunity available to join the team as a Fitter & Turner Apprentice completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical.

Knuckey Pty Ltd is an Australian agricultural business based in Winchelsea, manufacturing and supplying agricultural machinery and equipment to farming customers throughout Australia.

General Tasks Include:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job instructions
  • Measuring, marking out and machining metal components
  • Setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders and other workshop equipment, once trained and authorised
  • Fitting and assembling agricultural machinery and engineering components
  • Assisting with the manufacture and modification of agricultural machinery and components
  • Assisting with machinery maintenance, servicing, repair and fault-finding
  • Assisting with hydraulic and pneumatic repairs and maintenance, within your level of training and competency
  • Maintaining machinery, tools and equipment and keeping the workshop clean and safe
  • Undertaking Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a genuine interest in mechanical engineering, agricultural machinery and hands-on work
  • Be willing to learn and develop their trade skills
  • Have good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Be able to work safely and follow workplace instructions
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver Licence
  • Be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Fitter & Turner Apprentice
