Project Manager

We are working with a well-established commercial builder to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee a $25m extension and upgrade to an existing supermarket.

This is a live environment project requiring strong planning, stakeholder management and coordination skills, with the successful candidate taking full responsibility for the project from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

• Manage the project from planning through to handover
• Oversee programme, budget, quality and safety
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Manage works within a live retail environment
• Lead the site and project team, including CA and Site Manager
• Maintain strong communication with the client and key stakeholders
• Manage procurement, variations, forecasting and project reporting
• Ensure staging and construction activities minimise disruption to ongoing operations

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a commercial builder
• Experience delivering projects in the $15m–$40m range
• Retail, supermarket or live-environment project experience highly regarded
• Strong commercial and contract administration capability
• Excellent programming and subcontractor management skills
• Confident managing clients, consultants and internal project teams
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and construction processes
