Claims Consultant

Motor Claims Consultant | Sydney | $90K–$100K + Super

We're partnering with a growing specialist insurer looking for an experienced Motor Claims Consultant who genuinely owns their portfolio, from first notification right through to settlement, including recoveries. No splitting the file across three different teams. No losing sight of the outcome once the interesting part is done.

This is a role for someone who's spent real time in motor claims and wants to keep building on that, making the coverage call, negotiating the outcome, and seeing the claim through to the end, with a business that's genuinely investing in its people as it grows.

Day to day, you'll:

• Manage a motor claims portfolio end-to-end, including recoveries
• Assess information and make sound, commercially balanced decisions within your delegated authority
• Conduct investigations, policy interpretation and coverage analysis
• Negotiate settlements and determine liability and exclusions
• Build genuine relationships with brokers and other stakeholders
• Work collaboratively across Claims and Underwriting

Who we want to hear from:

Genuine, hands-on motor claims experience is essential, with around 2–3 years' extensive exposure managing claims end-to-end, not just handling part of the process. Beyond that, you'll bring strong analytical instincts, confident decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
