Experienced Medical Biller – Specialist / Surgical
Full Time | Office-based in Brisbane

We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join an established external medical billing service.

This opportunity will suit someone who already has strong hands-on billing experience within a surgical or specialist medical environment and is comfortable managing more complex billing, including gap fees.

About the role:
You will manage billing and payment-related work on behalf of external specialist medical practices, logging into clients' practice management systems remotely and working across a number of different specialist practices.

What we're looking for:

• Previous hands-on specialist medical billing experience is essential
• Experience within surgical or procedural specialist billing
• Strong understanding of Medicare, private health billing and gap fees
• Experience with MBS item numbers and complex billing requirements
• Experience with Genie, Gentu, Clinic to Cloud, Zedmed or similar systems
• Experience across multiple billing or practice management systems would be highly regarded
• Background in gastroenterology, pain medicine, anaesthetics, surgery or another complex specialty would be particularly relevant
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Experience working for an external medical billing company would be highly regarded.
