Revenue & Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Our Client
Our client is a leading global organisation with a strong presence across Australia, operating within a dynamic and highly regarded product-focused industry. With an established reputation for quality, innovation and strong customer relationships, the business continues to experience growth and is looking to appoint a Revenue & Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join their supportive finance team - This role has been newly created so it gives you the freedom to make it your own.

The Role
In this role you will be responsible for:

• Manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the Revenue Operations team
• Month end responsibilities
• Monitoring aging reports and following up on overdue accounts
• Accountability that billing activities are carried out with a high level of accuracy, completeness and timeliness
• Managing large customer portfolios and supporting working capital objectives
• Oversee the preparation and submission of month-end
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting customer rebate and commission programs
• Assist with process improvements and ongoing finance initiatives
• Other ad hoc duties as required by your Manager

The Successful Applicant Will Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• CPA/CA qualified or progressing towards qualification
• 3–5 years' experience across Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Commercial Finance or Financial Analysis
• Strong understanding of AR, credit management and working capital principles
• Experience managing large customer portfolios
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Experience within wholesale distribution, FMCG, manufacturing or a B2B environment would be highly advantageous
• Experience with rebates, commissions, customer contracts and Power BI would be desirable
