Senior Project Manager

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take a lead role on a high-profile hyperscale data centre project in Melbourne.

Working with a highly regarded commercial contractor, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a complex, technically demanding project, leading the project team and coordinating closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
This is a significant opportunity for a proven construction professional looking to deliver one of Melbourne’s major mission critical developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the project through design, construction, commissioning and handover
• Manage and mentor the project team including PMs, CAs, engineers and site personnel
• Drive programme, procurement, commercial outcomes and overall project performance
• Manage client, consultant, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships
• Work closely with services and commissioning teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved
• Maintain strong standards across safety, quality, cost and programme
• Identify and manage project risks, design issues and critical path activities
• Provide accurate reporting to senior management and the client

About You:

• Extensive experience delivering major commercial construction projects, 
• Previous experience on data centres highly desirable or similarly services-intensive projects
• Strong understanding of complex building services and commissioning
• Proven experience managing large project teams and major subcontract packages
• Excellent commercial, programme and stakeholder management capability
• Strong leadership style with the ability to drive performance across multiple workstreams
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
