Carpenter – Full-Time Company: Weldworks Australia Pty Ltd Location: West Ryde, NSW, with project work across NSW and WA Salary: $90,000–$98,000 per annum plus superannuation Employment Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: In person Weldworks Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team and work across residential, commercial and public infrastructure projects throughout NSW and WA. This is a full-time opportunity to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team and contribute to a variety of high-quality construction projects. About You The successful applicant will demonstrate: Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant qualification A minimum of three years of relevant carpentry experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and construction plans Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials and building practices Experience constructing, installing, repairing and maintaining timber structures and fixtures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Good physical fitness, stamina and manual-handling capability High level of accuracy and precision Effective communication and teamwork skills Strong practical problem-solving abilities Flexibility to work across project locations in NSW and WA when required Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications and construction plans Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other construction materials Construct, install, maintain and repair walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, door frames, windows, cabinetry and other fixtures Erect frameworks and install subflooring, floorboards, cladding and prefabricated components Ensure all carpentry work complies with relevant building codes, project specifications, safety requirements and quality standards Safely and efficiently operate hand tools, power tools and relevant machinery Calculate material quantities and assist with preparing work plans and project estimates Coordinate with builders, contractors, clients and other trades to meet project requirements Assist with supervising junior carpenters, apprentices and other site workers where required Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy and compliance before installation or project handover Identify and resolve on-site issues to help keep projects on schedule Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment
