Hays is partnering with a Queensland Government department seeking an experienced Tribunal Officer to join a busy tribunal services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing high-quality support while liaising with a broad range of stakeholders.

Your new role

As a Tribunal Officer, you will play an important role in supporting tribunal operations and ensuring a professional experience for all stakeholders throughout the tribunal process. Responsibilities will include:
  • Scheduling and coordinating tribunal appointments and hearings.
  • Preparing, typing and issuing tribunal findings and correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic case files and records.
  • Providing administrative and secretariat support to tribunal members.
  • Liaising with workers, representatives, insurers and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting virtual hearings and troubleshooting technology issues.
  • Managing reception and visitor enquiries professionally.
  • Processing invoices and assisting with financial administration activities.
  • Assisting with travel bookings and coordination of regional hearings.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • High-volume data entry and advanced word processing capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using Adobe and electronic document management systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous Dictaphone typing experience will be highly regarded.
  • A typing speed test will be required as part of the application process.
