An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Support Officer to join a Queensland Government department in Cannon Hill. This temporary contract will commence on 12 October 2026 and run until 29 January 2027, with the possibility of extension.




Your new role

In this role, you will provide high-volume data entry support relating to field staff labour costing. You will work within a fast-paced team environment where accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing a high volume of labour costing entries
  • Accurately entering information within required timeframes
  • Reviewing timesheets and identifying errors before entering data
  • Investigating discrepancies and resolving information issues
  • Organising and prioritising your workload to meet team deadlines
  • Responding to internal queries via email and Microsoft applications
  • Supporting colleagues during busy periods as required


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous high-volume data entry experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate Adobe PDF skills
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound investigative, research and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and workload prioritisation
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
