Position Overview
On behalf of Cityform Concrete Construction, a specialist formwork, concrete, and concrete pumping company servicing the commercial and residential construction sectors, we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Carpenter.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Interpreting architectural drawings, construction plans and project specifications to establish carpentry requirements, measurements, construction methods and installation sequences.
• Measuring work areas and determining quantities of timber, plywood, fixings and other materials required for formwork, framing and associated construction activities.
• Selecting suitable timber and construction materials, preparing material lists, and arranging materials in accordance with project requirements and site conditions.
• Measuring, marking and cutting timber and other materials to required dimensions using appropriate hand and power tools, ensuring accurate and efficient preparation.
• Fabricating and assembling timber components, frames and structural sections using appropriate fastening, joining and fixing techniques.
• Constructing and installing timber formwork and temporary structures for concrete works, ensuring forms are correctly aligned, level, braced and secured before concrete placement.
• Erecting wall frames, roof structures, flooring systems and other timber frameworks, checking dimensions, levels, plumb and alignment throughout the installation process.
• Installing flooring, roof sheeting, fascia, external cladding, doors, window frames and other building components in accordance with project specifications.
• Forming and fitting timber joints and assembling prefabricated carpentry components to produce structural frameworks, fixtures and fittings ready for installation.
• Inspecting completed carpentry and formwork work, carrying out adjustments, maintenance and repairs to existing timber structures and fittings while maintaining required quality and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Relevant qualifications in carpentry, formwork carpentry, construction, or a related building trade.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar carpentry role.
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Skilled in using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $80,000 – 90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
