SAP EAM Reporting Specialist Needed | Large S/4HANA Program
Your new company
Working for the largest local government in Australia with 26 wards. Today, the council has an annual budget of more than $3.4 billion, an asset base of $35.9 billion and serves a population of 1.2+ million people.
Your new role
As part of the organisation's migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, support is required to ensure Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) reporting is successfully transitioned to the new platform. The role will be responsible for working with stakeholders across Asset Management, Maintenance, Operations and other business areas to identify, document and validate reporting requirements, assess existing reporting solutions, and define future-state reporting needs aligned with S/4HANA capabilities.
What you'll need to succeed
A key objective of the engagement is to establish a standardised approach to reporting across the EAM business. This includes defining common report structures, business rules, KPI calculations, data definitions, and reporting practices to ensure consistency, accuracy and comparability of information across business units. The contractor will be expected to identify opportunities to reduce report proliferation, promote the use of shared datasets and standard reporting solutions, and support the development of a sustainable reporting framework for the future S/4HANA environment.
Required skills and experience:
The role will also involve translating business requirements into functional reporting specifications and report designs. The contractor will be expected to understand asset management and maintenance processes and work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions deliver meaningful operational, tactical and strategic insights.
In addition, the role will be responsible for defining and authoring reporting solutions within SAP S/4HANA and MS Power BI. This includes identifying suitable reporting technologies, leveraging standard SAP functionality wherever possible, defining data requirements, developing reports and dashboards, and ensuring reporting outputs are fit for purpose. Reporting solutions are expected to provide visibility of key maintenance and asset management performance measures, including work management, preventive maintenance compliance, maintenance backlog, asset performance, equipment reliability, downtime and other business-critical indicators.
The contractor will be required to support data validation, report testing, and business acceptance activities to ensure reporting outcomes are accurate, reliable and meet stakeholder expectations following migration from ECC. Throughout the engagement, the contractor will be expected to apply strong stakeholder engagement, business analysis, reporting design and SAP reporting expertise to deliver standardised, sustainable and user-focused reporting and analytics capabilities across the EAM business.
