ARA Technologies is seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to support the management, security, and troubleshooting of the networks, services and IT systems within organisation technology. The position will work closely with users, operational teams, technical personnel and other stakeholders to identify business requirements, improve system processes and coordinate the successful delivery of systems and technology projects.

Employment: Full-time – 38 hours per week
Salary: $110,000 per annum + Superannuation
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyse, design, develop and evaluate complex network and systems architecture, specifications, data models, and technical diagrams to support the development, configuration, integration, and optimisation of computer systems
- Research, analyse, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and optimal network performance and availability
- Assess existing network operations and infrastructure and recommend improvements to integrated hardware, software, communications systems, operating systems, and network architecture
- Provide specialist technical support for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving network, systems, connectivity, and infrastructure issues, including responding to network incidents and emergencies
- Install, configure, integrate, test, maintain, and administer new upgraded networks, servers, workstations, software applications, databases, and associated IT infrastructure
- Develop and implement network programming, scripting, and automation solutions to support specific business requirements and improve operational efficiency
- Monitor network traffic, capacity, utilisation, performance, and activity to identify potential issues and ensure the continued integrity, availability, security, and optimal performance of network infrastructure
- Maintain accurate network inventories, configuration records, system documentation, network diagrams, maintenance procedures, and technical specifications
- Documents the diagnosis and resolution of network faults, system changes, enhancements, upgrades, and modifications, ensuring appropriate technical records are maintained
- Collaborate with internal teams, technical specialists, vendors, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver network and systems solutions aligned with organisational objectives
- Provide technical advice and specialist expertise on network architecture, infrastructure, systems integration, performance, and operational requirements.
Skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline, together with relevant experience in systems analysis
- Strong systems and business analysis, functional requirements, system implementation and testing, project coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
